Hello!

I received my training in art therapy and counseling from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and currently hold an associate license in mental health counseling (LMHCA). As an art therapist I believe in the power of imagination and artmaking for self-expression, communication, insight, and personal growth which lead to healing and joy in life. Art therapy is not about being “good” at art but instead is a powerful tool which uses nonverbal forms of communication and self-expression, which, if desired, can pair with traditional talk therapy to gain more complete access to your inner world and aid in becoming unstuck in problem areas.

Because of my integrative training in art therapy and counseling my approach centers on creativity. Additionally, my style is strengths-based and person-centered where I will collaborate with you to find those creative solutions tailored to your unique needs and personality. My Christian faith is also especially important to me. True and lasting healing comes through a relationship with Jesus, and I welcome faith and spirituality as integral parts of the healing process. I enjoy working with a variety of clients and will see children, teens, and adults.

My favorite things to do involve time with my husband and four kids. We enjoy playing games, watching shows, or sitting around the dinner table together. In my spare time, I also love to be in nature, make artwork, or have a good cup of coffee with a friend.

I look forward to meeting you and beginning our journey together!
