Hello all! My name is Charlie Koellein, and I am a counselor in training (student), pursuing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grace College. I have loved what I have been ale to do and am excited to continue to learn! I love coming alongside people and helping them with whatever their struggles are. I love doing this through a Christian lens, inviting God into each and every part of what I am able to do. I am especially passionate about young adults, and also people struggling with anxiety.
I love the one on one relationship that counseling brings. I love being able to dive deeper than the words that are originally said and get to the heart of the issue, and work on that together. Watching people become exactly who they were created to be is what I am passionate about. I am excited to get to do this with you!
Fun facts about me: I love golf, and really all things sports; I have an obsession with the drink Arnold Palmer; I used to always get only vanilla ice cream at ice cream shops, I am originally from Franklin, TN; and I have met Tobymac
Background: I graduated form the University of Tennessee in 2024, I have worked part time at a church since I started this program 1.5 years ago where I have gotten some counseling and ministry experience, I completed a practicum last Spring at another private practice, I have attended Lost Sparrows conference, and I have taught electives at my church over anxiety and emotions.
I am under the supervision of Doris Mathew, LMHC
